Gaurav Koley Internet Lurker, Poet, Creator of Gratia, Actively and Pdfvuer

Hey I'm Gaurav!

I am a 1st year PhD student at the Boston University's Faculty of Computing and Data Sciences, currently working with Prof. John Byers on the economics of Cryptocurrencies. I am interested in Computational Economics and Social Network Analysis.

I received my Masters degree in Computer Science from the International Insititute of Information Technology, Bangalore in June of 2019, where I was advised by Prof. Srinath Srinivasa. I worked at the intersection of Social Network Analysis (SNA) and Software Engineering to develop a computational model for Social Capital. You can download a copy of my Masters thesis here. My thesis panel consisted of : Prof. Srinath Srinivasa, Prof. G Srinivasaraghavan and Prof. Manish Gupta.

Previously I worked at Microsoft R&D India where I used to performance engineer products for the Dynamics 365 team. In my free time I work on Gratia with the Web Science Lab @ IIIT Bangalore, where we're making it easier to start, grow and nurture large online research communities.

If I'm not coding or tweeting, I'm likely lurking on reddit or writing poetry.
